What do the beeps mean?

A message from your tag

At electronic toll points your tag will tell you about your account. Here's what it says:

Enough credit One beep Bleep bleep One beep
Account balance low - top up as soon as possible Three beeps Short trill Three beeps
Account has been deactivated, suspended or cancelled - you may receive a toll notice - call your tolling provider immediately Four beeps Four beeps Four beeps
There may be a problem, check that your tag is installed according to the instructions provided and if the problem persists call your tolling provider No sound No sound No sound

Listen for the beeps on the Eastern Distributor! If your tag does not beep, or beeps four times, you may either receive a toll notice that includes a $1.10 fee to transfer the toll to your tag account, or receive a $0.55 per trip 'no tag fee'. Click here for tips on how to avoid fees.
